NATIONAL CADET AWARD WINNERS ARRIVED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, GREATER MANCHESTER FOR THEIR TEN (10) DAYS FAMILIARIZATION TOUR AS PART OF THEIR AWARD
A four-member team led by Mr Stephen Kwaku Owusu the former Western North Regional Director of Education and now the Deputy A.g Director-General(MS) of Ghana Education Service has arrived in the United Kingdom Greater Manchester for an educational familiarization tour.
The tour which forms part of the award given by the Chief of Staff Office of the President, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare during the speech read on her behalf by Mr Emmanuel Adumua Bossman on the 1st of July at the Black Star Square is to appreciate the good works of cadet teachers in our schools and support the cadet corps’ activities among students.
This is an annual Programme that the Office of the Chief of Staff awards every year on 1st July Republic Day.
The team was seen off on behalf of the Minister for Education and Director-General of Ghana Education Service by the National Cadet Coordinator-General, Mr Nicholas Nii Tettey-Amarteifio.
The team will be expected back in Ghana on 20th September 2023.
Members of the team include;
- Mr Samuel Atto Kwamena Yawson, a teacher in the Western Region.
- Rev. Fr Stephen Owusu Sekyere, Headmaster of Opoku Ware Senior High School.
- Mr Stephen Kwaku Owusu, former Regional Director of Education for Western North.
- Cadet Officer Zaid Kelvin Okpoti Mensah, Escort.
