The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service and Board Chairman of the National Cadet Corps, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, has urged student cadets to always keep their environment clean, emphasizing that cleanliness promotes healthy living and a good academic environment.
In an interview with Cadet Media during the Presidential 2-Day Post-Flood Clean-Up Exercise in Accra, N.N. Tettey-Amarteifio, Coordinator General of the National Cadet Corps, speaking on behalf of Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, Director-General of GES and Board Chairman of NCC, underscored the importance of sanitation in schools. “Cleanliness is not just for national exercises. As cadets and future leaders, you must lead by example by keeping your schools and communities clean and safe every day,” he said.
The interview formed part of the nationwide exercise held on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July 2026, which saw cadets join other security agencies and MMDAs to clean flood-affected areas across the country.
The National Cadet Corps reaffirmed its commitment to instilling discipline, patriotism, and civic responsibility in Ghana’s youth.
