Upper West Regional Prisons Commander Calls on Nation Cadet Coordinator General

The Upper West Regional Commander/OIC of the Ghana Prisons Service, ADP. James B Mwinyelle (ING) called on the National Cadet Coordinator General, Nicholas Nii Tettey-Amarteifio in his office in Accra on Monday 14th October 2034. The call forms part of his plans to support build the cadet corps in the Upper West Region.

  

In a closed-door discussion, he assured the Coordinator General of his readiness and willingness to support the cadet corps in the country especially through the Upper West Region. He believes that the training they receive in school as cadets will make them responsible and patriotic citizens, and help them stay away from activates that will lead them to prison.

He personally has taken the step to provide cadet uniforms for some schools in the region like St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary SHS. He has also supported in the general training of the school cadet corps with the help of the Regional Cadet Coordinator Cdt. Lt. Abdul-Rahim Akwetee Yemoh, the Physical Education Liaison Officer at the Ghana Education Service Office in the region, and some instructors from the Regional Prisons HQ.
