As part of the activities to instill and promote discipline among students and the youth in general, the Southern Sector Cadet Corps under the auspices of the National Cadet Corps Ghana organized the 4th Southern Sector Drill Competition for the 5 regions in the sector namely Greater Accra, Eastern, Western, Central, and Volta Regional Cadet Corps. The five regions are representing with five schools each making 25 school for the competition
The Competition is under the theme, ” Strengthening the youth through education and Discipline”.
The competition
held at the Cape Coast Jubilee Park, saw remarkable performance from all the participating school cadets.
The Regional Director of Education, Mr. David Afram who was the Review officer for the occasion in his speech encouraged the Cadets to be disciplined in all aspects of their lives. He mentioned that is what
The Special Guest of Honor who was the Regional Police Commander represent  also edged the students to pursue higher education. He encouraged the students to focus on their studies and desist from in disciplinary acts that will destroy their future.
At the end of the competition, Kpando Technical emerged the winner followed by Apam Senior High School and Bishop Herman College placing second and third respectively. The best parade commander was from Islamic Girls Senior High School, the best Contingent sergeant major was from Ola Girls Senior High School and the best region was the Volta region.
