NATIONAL CADET COORDINATOR AT WESTERN NORTH REGION

 

The team then extended their tour to the Western North Region where they first paid a courtesy call to the Western North Regional Coordinating Council. Mr. Amoako Kwarteng,

the Regional Chief Director warmly welcomed the delegation to the region on behalf of the Regional Minister who was absent from the region. The National Cadet Coordinator General, Nicholas Nii Tettey-Amarteifio, made a brief introduction of his team and formally introduced the new Regional Cadet Coordinator in the person of Cadet Lieutenant Appiah-Kubi Emmanuel. The Chief Director assured the delegation of doing an official introduction of the cadet regional coordinator Appiah-Kubi to the regional Security Council at a later date.

 

   

The team continued to the regional Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) now known as the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) and met Mr. Daniel Djabanor, the Deputy Regional Commander. He was pleased to meet the team and assured us of his office’s support.

The next stop was the Regional Police Headquarters where we met the presence of the Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Western North Regional Police Headquarters and the station officer, Chief Inspector Quansah who expressed the Region’s utmost delight in working with the new Regional Cadet Coordinator and looked forward to ways of making the cadet vibrant in the region.

                   

The Ghana Immigration Service and Ghana National Fire Service were the last place of call respectively. Both parties were humbled to receive the delegation and could not hide their enthusiasm in working with the new Regional Cadet Coordinator.

              

The team capped their tour with a visit to Sefwi Wiaso Secondary School and Bibiani Secondary Technical School respectively. The Coordinator General had a closed door meeting with the heads of these institutions and further met with the student cadets in these schools. He encouraged the students to be resilient in their cadet activities and most importantly, pay more attention to their academic work. This was a great and exciting opportunity for these student cadets who had been inspired by this visit.

 

   

Finally, the tour came to an end with a visit to the Regional Director of Education, ,Mr. Stephen Kwaku Owusu who assured the Regional Cadet Coordinator of his continuous support in achieving and attaining his vision.
