NATIONAL CADET COORDINATOR STARTS A FOUR (4) DAY TOUR

The National Cadet Coordinator is on a four day official tour to Ahafo and Western North Regions with his team. On Tuesday 7thDecember, 2021, the National Cadet Coordinator General Nicholas Nii Tettey-Amarteifio began a four day official visit to Ahafo Region in the cadet corps’ central sector. The aim of the tour was to formally introduce the newly appointed regional Cadet Coordinator to the key heads of various security agencies in the region, as well as perceive how the cadet activities are being carried out during this period of COVID 19.

 

Mrs. Lucy Twumasi-Ankrah, Regional Director of Education for Ahafo Region, was first to be contacted in Bechem where her regional office is located. The team was cordially welcomed by the regional Public Relations Officer and the Director of Human Resources on behalf of the Regional Director of Education. The National Cadet Coordinator General introduced the delegation and formally presented the newly appointed Regional Cadet Coordinator, Cadet Lieutenant Stephen Asamoah Russ. The Regional Director for her part, enthusiastically welcomed the Cadet Coordinator and mentioned that she has been in communication with the new Regional Cadet Coordinator for some time now and assured him of the region’s support as well as how best to get him a table when they move into their new office. In the interim, though, all officers in the region are sharing the little space available.

       

The delegation left to Goaso, the regional seat of Ahafo Region, to meet with the Honorable Regional Minister at the Regional Coordinating Council. Mr. Jacob Ntiamoah, the Regional Economic Planning Officer, welcomed the team on behalf of the Regional Coordinator Council.

He mentioned that the Regional Minister Honorable George Boakye was not in the region and the Chief Director was in a closed door meeting with all the heads of security agencies in the region on behalf for the Regional Minister. He assured the delegation that the RCC at a later date, will organize a formal introduction of the new Regional Cadet Coordinator to all regional security and relevant heads of department.
