NATIONAL CADET CORPS GHANA HOLDS 63RD REPUBLIC DAY

The National Cadet Corps Ghana under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ghana Education Service and the National Youth Authority commemorated the 63rd Republic Day Youth Parade at the Black Star Square.

The event which brought together twelve thousand (12,000) student cadets from all the sixteen (16) regions was under the theme “ESPRIT DE-CORPS, OUR STRENGTH AND PURPOSE”.

The celebration aimed to inculcate in the youth the spirit of Volunteerism, Patriotism and Nationalism.

In an address by the Government which was delivered by Mr. Emmanuel Adumua-Bossman the Deputy Chief of Staff encouraged the youth to be more disciplined and Patriotic. He appealed to the Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Ghana to give the youth opportunities in their respective countries.

He encouraged the security services to do well to consider Cadet Corps in the recruitment and enlistment process.

The Director General of Ghana Education Service welcomed the authorities in various institutions and encouraged them to help increase the level of discipline in their schools.

In a brief interview with the National Cadet Coordinator General, he emphasized the fact that the Youth must learn to speak the Truth and this will help in the growth of the country as well as give fewer jobs to the Police and other security agencies.

The participants travelled back to their respective regions and schools safely.
