The National Cadet Corps Ghana (NCCG) organized a highly anticipated National DRILL competition at the Tamale Jubilee Park on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The event brought together cadets from all over the country, showcasing their skills, discipline and teamwork.
The competition, which was held at the Tamale Jubilee Park, saw cadets from various schools and sectors participating in a series of drill exercises, including marching, rifle drills and other military-style maneuvers. The event was attended by hundreds of spectators which included military officials.
The cadets, who had been training for months, demonstrated exceptional precision, coordination, and teamwork as they performed intricate drills and routines. The judges, comprising senior military officers had a tough time selecting the winners, given the high level of competition.
In the end, Potsin T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School emerged as the overall champion, followed closely by Kumasi Technical Institute and Obiri Yeboah Senior High School. The winners were awarded trophies and certificates, while all participants received certificates of participation.
The event was a huge success, with many praising the organizers for a well-planned and executed competition. The National DRILL competition is expected to return next year, with even more excitement and competition.
