NATIONAL CADET CORPS GHANA HOSTS BAND COMPETITION IN TAMALE

The National Cadet Corps Ghana (NCCG) as part of the activities to commemorate their 70th anniversary organized a national band competition at the Tamale Senior High School on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The event which brought together talented bandsmen from various schools across the country, showcasing their skills and competing for top honors.

 

The competition, which was open to all cadet corps units in Ghana, saw participants from various regions vying for the coveted title of Best Band. The event was a finale of months of preparation and hard work by the young cadets, who demonstrated their musical prowess in front of a packed audience.

The Tamale Senior High School Park was lively with excitement as the bands took to the stage, performing a range of musical pieces. The judges evaluated the performances based on criteria such as musicality, technique and overall presentation.

After a thrilling display of talent, the winners were announced, with  Oyoko Methodist Senior High School emerging as the champion band followed by Kumasi Senior High Technical School and Our Lady of Providence Girls Senior High School, respectively.

 

The event was graced by dignitaries from the Ghanaian military, government officials, and other stakeholders, who praised the National Cadet Corps Ghana for its efforts in promoting music and discipline among the youth.
