14,000 CADETS LEAD NATIONWIDE CLEAN-UP

On Saturday, 6th June 2026, the National Cadet Corps, in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies across Ghana, organized a successful nationwide clean-up exercise.

The 4-hour exercise mobilized approximately 14,000 student cadets, with about 1,000 cadets participating from each region. Due to technical challenges beyond our control, the North East and Savannah Regions were unable to join. Under the hashtag #TheHooliganismMustStop, cadets cleaned key public spaces including school compounds, markets, hospitals, community centers, and Regional Coordinating Council premises.

This exercise forms part of the build-up activities toward the National Cadet Corps Students’ Parade scheduled for Thursday, 3rd July 2026 at Black Star Square.

The corps sincerely appreciate the support of: Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, Director-General, GES, Engr. Dr. Eric Kofi Adzroe, Director-General, TVET, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual and the Vice-Chancellors of participating universities, The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs

This collaboration made it possible for cadet members to take part in this impactful nationwide exercise.
