As part of the plans to commemorate 1st July Republic Day and 70th Anniversary of the national cadet corps, the Ashanti Regional Cadet Corps hosted an Inter-Schools Drill and Band Competition in Kumasi on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 2024. The event which was held at the prestigious 4th Infantry Battalion square, gathered 32 schools from the region with the shared goal of promoting unity, discipline, peace and teamwork among cadets as expert judges from the 4th Infantry Battalion observed as the cadets demonstrated their precision, coordination, and musical talents in drill and band performances.


All schools and cadets were honored with certificates of participation for their dedication to the cadet corps. Additionally, the top ten schools in drills and six schools in band were chosen to progress to the upcoming Sector drill and band competition, acknowledging their outstanding skills and diligence.
The Ashanti Regional Cadet Corps Inter-Schools Drill and Band Competition highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and teamwork among the young cadets, developing a tradition of excellence and fellowship within the cadet community of the region.
