On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Hon. Julius Debrah, , received a high-powered delegation from the National Cadet Corps Headquarters at the Jubilee House. The visit aimed to prepare for the 65th Republic Day Celebrations, featuring a National Cadet Youth Parade at the Black Star Square on July 1, 2025. The visit formed part of preparatory activities towards the 65th Republic Day Celebrations, during which the Corps will display during the National Cadet Youth Parade at the Black Star Square on Tuesday, 1st July 2025.
The celebration’s theme, “Reimagining Youth: Reflecting on Discipline and Loyalty to Country – A Call to Review and Reset,” highlights the Corps’ focus on promoting patriotism, civic responsibility, and leadership values among Ghanaian youth.
The delegation, which called on the Chief of Staff, included:

During the engagement, the delegation briefed the Chief of Staff on the history, current structure, and evolving role of the Cadet Corps. Established in 1954 at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi, the Corps has grown into the largest organized youth movement in Ghana. It now operates in basic, secondary, and tertiary institutions, integrating elements of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Fire Service, Customs, and Immigration cadet corps with a membership of seventy-six thousand five hundred and seventy-seven (76,577) as of July 2019
Other Key strategic issues were discussed in a closed-door session.
The Chief of Staff commended the leadership of the Cadet Corps for their commitment to instilling discipline, leadership, and civic values in Ghanaian youth in the schools and assured them of government’s continued support for all their programs.
