The officers and cadets of the national cadet leadership training camp today called on the Gyasehene of Sampa traditional area at the palace today.
The call was to formally inform the elders of the community of the National Leadership Training Camp that is taking place in the Nafana Presbyterian Senior High School in the Jaman North district of the Brong Ahaafo region.
The camp commandant Capt. J Mborti of the central command of the Ghana Armed Forces said it was important to announce the presence of cadet camp in the area. The national cadet coordinator who is the camp commander took the opportunity to present on behalf of the cadet a token of a jungle stick to the elders in remembrance of the National cadet Leadership training camp.
He stated that it is a great opportunity to have all this young ones from all the ten (10) regions to assemble here. He mentioned that the Chief of staff Hon Akosua Frema Osei-Opare and the regional minister and the minister for Youth and Sports is expected to close the camp on Friday 11th August, 2017 in the afternoon. The Chief assured the participants the support from the community and commended government for selecting Sampa as the Camp grounds for the 2017 annual leadership training of cadets.
He stated that the chief and elders believe the government had good plans for Sampa and this is the sine.
